The city's overall population has remained relatively flat over the last decade.

Greenfield's overall population has gone relatively unchanged over the last decade, but the city is seeing a shift in who is living here.

According to data released by the United States 2010 Census last week, Greenfield saw a 1.5 percent increase in population since 2000. The total number of residents counted by the Census is now 36,720, up from 36,189 in 2000.

The data shows particularly steep spikes in both the Asian and Hispanic/Latino populations. The city's Asian population, which was counted as 513 in 2000, nearly tripled to 1,425 in 2010, a 177 percent increase.
