A frozen yogurt shop known as Daddy-Yo's could be coming to Greenfield soon, after the city's Planning Commission gave the plan the go-ahead last week.

In 4-6 weeks, the proposal will likely be heard by the city's Common Council, the last hurdle for the shop to fill a vacancy in the Greenfield Place shopping center.

But with so many fro-yo shops opening in suburban Milwaukee in recent years, does the area need another? You decide!

First of all the "fro-yo" monicker is annoying and like all the new fads it will dissipate. Frozen yogurt had run in the 80's (TCBY,etc) if it was as good as soft serve ice cream or custard it would have easisly taken over. Bottom line is it simply isnt ice cream and it will never make it beyond fringe cult following. I give these Fro-yo joints a couple years before they die out...

Fro-yo ends up being expensive but I don't know of any around that area so it would be nice for the few times you're willing to spend that much. I'm still holding out for a Jamba Juice, like in the old Hollywood Video/M &I bank in the Spring Mall Shopping Center.

I personally enjoy fro-yo along with a lot of other high school students in the area. Orange leaf is very popular in West Allis but a location in Greenfield would be awesome! And having options is always a benefit when going out.

I am looking forward to having a frozen yogurt shoppe closer to home and this Greenfield location would be perfect. My family and I will be going there often for a treat, it's fun, delicious and it is not expensive at all! Can't wait!
