Grab a Seat and Eat Outdoors in Greenfield

Here is a comprehensive guide that includes places throughout the city that allow for outdoors eating.

Not in the mood to fire up the grill or spend all day in the kitchen, but don't want to waste valuable "outdoors" time?

Greenfield Patch has assembled a guide to outdoor dining in Greenfield, with loads of options from coffee to casual to catinas.

If we missed your favorite hot-spot, include it in the comments below and we'll be sure to add it to the guide.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

4765 S. 76th Street, Greenfield

(414) 282-4158

4 to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 4 to 11 p.m. Friday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday

Outdoor seating available May to September (weather permitting)

Enjoy your Italian al fresco on the tree-lined covered patio at Carrabba’s. As many as eight tables are available, including one for seating up to six people; other tables seat four. No reservations needed.

El Beso Mexican Restaurant & Cantina

5030 S 74th St., Greenfield

(414) 817-0362

11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily (kitchen); 11 a.m. to last call daily (cantina; closing time varies)

Slip over the border with fajitas, guacamole, margaritas and more on the patio at El Beso Mexican Restaurant & Cantina. There are 30 patio- and pub-style tables on the enclosed patio, which is partly covered by a tin roof. Most tables seat four, but there’s room for up groups of eight or more. Reservations are suggested for bigger groups, but not needed.

Fin ‘N Feather

4600 W. Loomis Road, Greenfield

(414) 282-4410

1 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Thursday; noon to 2:30 a.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday

Outdoor seating available year-round; heaters provided in winter

Take the party outdoors on the patio at Fin ‘N Feather. But get there early if you plan to watch the big game at one of the tavern’s five pub-style tables on the deck. Heads up: there’s no kitchen, but pizza and garlic bread are available.

Grainger's Pub & Grill

3400 W. Loomis Road, Greenfield

(414) 282-9917

11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday

Outdoor seating available from April until the first snow falls

Burgers, fried chicken, sandwiches, even tacos – our unscientific poll suggests they all go down easier sitting outside at one of the picnic tables at Grainger’s Pub & Grill. Tables seat up to eight, and umbrellas overhead mean no one has to get sunburned.

Kopp’s Frozen Custard

7631 W Layton Ave., Greenfield

(414) 282-4080

10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily

Outdoor seating available

Wash down your burgers and custard with a side of soothing waterfall in the courtyard garden at Kopp’s Frozen Custard. You won’t find tables, but there are about 15 wide, concrete benches. And, in the plaza just off the parking lot, there’s plenty of soft, green grass, if you prefer a picnic.

McDonald’s

5040 S 76th St., Greenfield

(414) 282-6480

5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily; drive-thru open 24 hours

Outdoor seating available

Enjoy your two beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun – and do it outside. There are at least five tables with benches and chairs just off the parking lot at this recently remodeled McDonald’s. Tables are covered and seat three to four.

Noodles & Co

4859 S 76th St., Greenfield

(414) 282-0517

10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily

Outdoor seating available (weather permitting)

Enjoy a city-style vibe and watch the 76th Street traffic go by from the patio at Noodles & Co. There are at least four tables (seating up to four, with umbrellas!) in the restaurant’s fenced-in patio. And don’t worry – servers will still bring the oodles of noodles straight to your table.

Panera Bread

7840 W Layton Ave., Greenfield

(414) 281-9999

6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday; 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday

Outdoor seating available (weather permitting)

Whether you order a soup, salad or sandwich, even a bagel and a smoothie, you can enjoy it at one of six patio-style tables outside Panera. The patio is at the front of the restaurant, away from the hum of Layton Avenue. And a fence keeps those cars in the parking lot from getting too close. Tables are covered with umbrellas and seat four.

Starbucks

4741 S 76th St., Greenfield

(414) 817-1932

5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday; 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday

Outdoor seating available (weather permitting)

Munch a scone while you check your email or take it all in while sipping a latte. Just remember, you can do it outside at the Starbucks in Kopp’s Center. There are eight café-style tables, including some with umbrellas, on the covered patio. Mix and match the chairs to make room for two, three or four.
