Greenfield Fire Department Assists in Hales Corners House Fire

The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. Thursday.

According to Fire Chief Jon Cohn, the Greenfield Fire Department had a battalion chief, truck and medical unit on the scene of house fire in Hales Corners Thursday morning.

FOX 6 reported the fire broke out just before 5 a.m. at the home near the corner of South 113th Street and West Goodsell. TMJ4 reported that all four of the people living in the home had escaped safely.

As a sign of how closely area fire departments work together, Cohn said while his department assisted at the house fire, Greenfield paramedics transported a patient from Greendale to the hospital; Greenfield firefighters and paramedics responded to a call in Greenfield that led to paramedics transporting a patient to the hospital; and a Greendale ambulance answered another medical call in Greenfield and transported the patient to the hospital just as Greenfield paramedics were returning.
