UPDATE: Greenfield Man Accused of Stabbing Waukesha Man at Summerfest
The incident allegedly took place in the middle of a crowd Friday.
A 24-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for allegedly stabbing Ricardo Moran of Waukesha in the stomach twice during an altercation at Summerfest on Friday, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
According to the story, Moran was transported to the hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department and his injuries are not life-threatening.
Sgt. Mark Stanmeyer from the Milwaukee Police Department said in an e-mail to Patch that the altercation occurred around 11 p.m. Friday near the Harley-Davidson stage. Stanmeyer said the Waukesha man and the Greenfield man were involved in a fight and the Greenfield man stabbed the Waukesha man twice.
The stabbing victim was treated at a local hospital and released, according to Stanmeyer.
The Greenfield man faces charges that are being referred by police to the Milwaukee County district attorney’s office, according to Milwaukee police.
Moran told WTMJ-4 that he was pushed and then stabbed while walking in the middle of the crowd. For more on this story, go to this link.
Summerfest has strict rules about no weapons and bags are searched before entrance. Random pat downs also occur at the gate before people are allowed into the Summerfest grounds.

Give kids alcohol and you can be sure something bad is going to happen. It doesn't surprise me at all. I'm sure the same kinda crap happened 30 years.

I agree. I remember when Summerfest began - most people didn't even go, just a few. As the crowds became bigger, more problems. If we cancelled an event with the fear that something bad would happen, then we would happy? I think not.
