Earlier this summer, hhgregg representatives promised the sparkling new retail store would be opened by Labor Day.

Right on cue, Greenfield has a new electronics and appliances option.

The Indianapolis-based hhgregg has opened its doors in Greenfield, Racine and Brown Deer. Customers can stop by during the stores' soft or pre-openings with grand openings to come, according to a customer service representative Patch spoke to Monday morning.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The store is located at 4585 S. 76th St.

With more than 100 models of flat panel televisions and more than 350 models of brand name appliances on display, hhgregg stores are designed to appeal to consumers who seek a broad selection of video products and appliances. The typical hhgregg store is 25,000 to 30,000 square feet.

The Greenfield store was expected to create 60 jobs.
