Santa Claus is Coming ... to Greenfield
There are plenty of events for all ages to celebrate the holidays and head into the new year.
Updated Dec. 3, 2012
The City of Greenfield will be spreading holiday cheer with two annual family events this month.
Let your child tell Santa if he or she was naughty or nice with Brunch with Santa, hosted by the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department.
The family event is for youth ages 2-10 accompanied by a parent or guardian and runs from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Greenfield Community Center.
The morning's activities include a holiday story, music and a visit from the big guy himself. Brunch includes pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries, sausage, applesauce, cookies and juice.

The event is limited to the first 100 participants and costs $5 for children ages 2-10 and $7 for anyone 11 and older.*
Annual tree-lighting ceremony
If you have brunch with Santa on Dec. 8, be sure to stay for the city's holiday tree-lighting ceremony from noon to 1 p.m. in the City Hall rotunda.
The tree lighting will take place at noon. Be sure to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and festive music and get a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
