in stead of raising taxes maybe we should really look at our spending problems.times are tough and people are tired of taking every tax hike that is dropped on them.cities across the country are going bankrupt.we cant just keep raising taxes.

These are State income, withholding, and sales tax receipts. The State attempts to collect these unpaid taxes through their collection efforts-liens, intercepts, court action, etc. This has no direct impact on City property taxes, which are about 27% of one's total property tax bill. Income taxes by City residents and businesses that GO TO the State far outweigh any State aids that RETURN TO the City.
