Greenfield Woman Caught With Heroin Kit
Melanie Kuhl was charged after a K9 unit smelled drugs inside her purse during a traffic stop.
A Greenfield woman is facing felony drug charges after a K9 unit found a heroin kit and marijuana in her purse during a traffic stop.
Melanie A. Kuhl, 28, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of possession of a narcotic drug. If convicted, she faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Dec. 2, Kuhl was in the back seat of a car pulled over for speeding by a Greenfield police officer in the 9900 block of West Cold Spring Road. While the officer was issuing tickets, a K9 unit detected something in her purse.
The officer found the heroin kit and a small amount of marijuana inside the purse. Kuhl told the officer she had purchased the drugs on the north side of Milwaukee earlier in the day and was planning to shoot heroin after she was done with work.
Kuhl is currently free on a $2,500 signature bond while awaiting trial.

Which K9 Officer deserves the credit for this? Sure wish I could give him a treat for the good work. Shocking to learn of all the drug activity in Greenfield. It would sure seem that if these accused drug suspects can afford to waste so much money on illegal drugs, they must have to much discretionary income available to them.

Veronica, I'm not sure which K9 made the bust, but I'm sure both DJ and Badger, or their handlers, would appreciate the love.
