High School Sports Preview: First-place Falcons Seek Revenge
They face Wauwatosa West just 10 days after losing to the Trojans.
The Whitnall boys basketball team does not have to wait long to get a shot at revenge.
Just 10 days after losing at home to Wauwatosa West, 52-49, the Falcons take on the Trojans again, this time on the road at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Whitnall, still in first place in the Woodland Conference Black Division with a 10-2 record despite the loss, is 11-5 overall. Wauwatosa West is 8-8 overall, 7-5 conference.
Whitnall girls basketball
The Falcons will be attempting to move over .500 in the conference for the first time since starting the season 1-0 when they host Wauwatosa West at 7:30 p.m.
Whitnall moved to 8-7 overall and 6-6 in league play with a 54-24 win last Friday, coach Keith Larson’s 300th career victory.
The Falcons beat Wauwatosa West (3-11, 2-10), 49-28, 10 days ago.
Greenfield girls basketball
The Hawks are looking to win their third consecutive game for the first time since the 2006-07 season when they host Greendale (3-13, 3-9) at 7:30 p.m.
Greenfield (6-9, 3-9) defeated Greendale, 40-30, Jan. 25.
Greenfield boys basketball
The Hustlin’ Hawks (3-14, 2-10) try to snap their four-game losing streak and start their climb out of last place when they visit rival Greendale (4-12, 3-9) at 7:30 p.m.
