Jack Bejma Was Accomplished Business Owner, Bowler

Jack Bejma, founder and longtime owner of Quality Awards, passed away Aug. 17, at the age of 70.

 

Jack Bejma, a longtime Greenfield business owner, passed away Aug. 17, at the age of 70.

Bejma was the founder and owner of Quality Awards, 6725 W. Bottsford Ave. for more than three decades, 26 years of which he was an employer and business partner Richard Van Zeeland, his son-in-law

According to his obituary, Bejma was an avid fisherman and standout left-handed bowler. He served on the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce board of directors for many years.

“Jack often spoke of the importance of patronizing the businesses in Greenfield, to keep them alive,” Chamber president Judy Baxter said in an email sent to chamber members. “I challenge you to do so now.”

According to Baxter’s email, Van Zeeland will continue to operate Quality Awards.

Bejma was diagnosed with cancer in July.

Visitation for Bejma is 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Bruskiewitz Funeral Home, 5355 W. Forest Home Ave.
