A 22-year-old Kenosha man is accused of sexually assaulting a female cousin for years while they were at their aunt's home in Greenfield and New Berlin.

The man was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of sexual assault of a child less than 16 years old. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

Patch is withholding the man's name to protect the victim's identity.

According to the criminal complaint, the man was accused of touching another young female, and in August, an 18-year-old cousin contacted the New Berlin Police Department and said she had also been victimized by him.

She said she always considered the man like a brother, but knew she had to come forward because of the other allegations. The victim said her cousin had sexually assaulted her on a number of occasions when the two would stay at a mutual aunt's Greenfield home. They would play a game called "princess and prince," where she would lay on a top bunk bed and ask for help and the man would reach up and touch her vagina.

The aunt later moved to New Berlin and the assault continued, including one instance in a pool where the man touched the victim and exposed himself to the girl. The Kenosha man will make his initial appearance in court Wednesday.
