Land Purchased for New Chick-fil-A in Greendale
Restaurant chain pays $1.285 million for lot in front of new Walmart store on 76th Street.
Plans to open a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Greendale took another step forward as the the chain has purchased a lot for the freestanding store on 76th Street.
The Business Journal is reporting that the Atlanta-based company paid $1.285 million for a lot in front of the under-construction Walmart store on 76th Street.
The Greendale Plan Commission in October approved the construction of the 4,779-square-foot restuarant, which would be the second one in Wisconsin. The other one is located at Regency Mall in Racine.
The restaurant will seat 109 people and will have a drive-through, outdoor dining, and an indoor playground. Typical hours of operations will be from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The Business Journal said the Greendale store is expected to open in July or August.

If it hides even a portion of the eyesore that is Walmart I will be pleased. I have never patronized a Chik-fil-A, hope it doesn't emit the smell of grease as I drive past.

Won't that take away a lot of parking spaces and make the lot smaller? Just like the Pick 'N Save on 76th with Blockbuster ( which should be gone IMO) in front that makes the parking lot smaller. They can't find anywhere else to put it. How about back inside the mall?
