Listening Forum to Focus on 'Religion and Government'
The event is slated for Nov. 19, at the Greenfield Public Library, which will also host Dakota the Owl at a family event Nov. 17.
Think the debates are over? Think again.
The Greenfield Listening Debates Alliance is hosting its third of three civil discourse forums at the Greenfield Public Library from 7-8:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19.
The forum will address the topic "Religion and Government" and will feature a moderator, several expert panel members representing a breadth of views, and a lively but civil public debate.
The forum will be governed by several listening and debating rules designed to move beyond the heat to find common ground.
People with all points of view are welcome. Admission is free and registration is not required.
'Who' else is coming to the library?
Dakota the Owl will make a special guest appearance at PJ Storytime scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the library's community room.
Dakota’s appearance is courtesy of the Wildlife in Need Center. The program is free, but those who would like to support the animals rescued by the center can bring an item from Dakota’s wish list. For a copy of the list, please call the Library at (414) 321-9595 Ext. 104 or visit the Children’s Page of the library’s website.
