Man Allegedly Buys Pills at Gas Station
Michael Shaw of Milwaukee was busted by Greenfield police officers with 11 painkillers he said he bought from a man at a gas station who approached him about buying marijuana.
A 31-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he allegedly got caught with painkillers he bought from a guy at an area gas station.
Michael Shaw was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Sunday with one count of possession of a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 30 days in jail and $500 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
Shaw was recently contacted by Greenfield police officers in the 5500 block of South 27th Street, where they found 11 pills in his front pocket. Shaw first said the pills were his, then said he got them from his wife.
He then told police he got the pills from a guy at an area gas station. He said the man approached him trying to sell marijuana, but he ended up buying the pills instead.
An analysis of the pills revealed them to be Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone.
Shaw will make his initial appearance in court Oct. 31.
