The Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, with some help from Santa Claus, pulled off a Christmas surprise on a grand scale Thursday at Southridge Mall.

After meeting with parents interested in adopting a puppy for their two young children, both of whom had asked for a dog in letters to Santa, MARC officials found a match in a young puppy named Jeffrey.

What's more, MARC arranged for the children, who thought they were coming to Southridge Mall to get their picture taken with Santa, to receive their new dog while sitting on Santa's lap.
