Winter weather has people shutting things down Thursday night.
Our media partners at WISN 12 are reporting between 4 and 7 inches of snow are expected between now and midnight, throughout the Milwaukee area.
Check out the closings list from WISN12 above, or click here for WISN closings and here for the TMJ4 closings. To check if there are power outages near you, take a look at the We Energies map.
Thanks. We'll email you the next time we update this story.

I understand running the closings at the bottom of the TV screen, I think Channel 12 did not have to cancel a show just to start their snow coverage an hour earlier. It's bad enough they kept cutting into shows throughout the day, TVs stations get way too carried away with snow coverage.

I agree completely. For all the news coverage these snowstorms have been getting, one would think that the 'great white death' is going to kill us all. Unless there are orders to evacuate the area or there is an immediate danger requiring action, I don't see a need for any news coverage to interrupt the regularly scheduled TV programming.

I remember a winter storm which I can't recall the year ('08 or '09?) where all the local stations had ALL DAY news coverage of it. They started from the morning news and kept going. From 9 AM to 5 PM they pre-empted all the regular tv shows. It was 12 or more hours of solid news. You could tell when they were running out of stories they would check in with their "team coverage" reporters to see how the roads where. Thank God for cable.
