Woman Accused of Trying to Steal Baby Formula From Target

She was caught, but two cohorts were able to escape store security.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman is accused of trying to steal more than $600 in baby formula and clothes from a Greenfield department store.

Terri S. Wright was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of felony retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to 1 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Sunday, a security officer at Target saw Wright and two other women fill a shopping cart with baby formula, then cover the items with clothes. The two women walked out of the store while Wright pushed the cart out the door, but she was stopped as she tried to leave.

Wright initially complied with orders to go to the store security office, but she then ran, attempting to leave the store, but was stopped by employees. The security officer searched Wright’s purse and found more stolen items inside.

Wright admitted to trying to steal the items in her purse and admitted helping a friend put the baby formula and other items into the cart before trying to push it out the door.

Wright was assigned a $25 signature bond while awaiting trial.

This Target has more problems than any other one. Probably because of the lowlifes that shop there.

How do you know that this Target has the most problems? The Greenfield Patch is only reporting "our" area problems. So until all of the crime data for all Target Stores is reported I cannot believe your statement. I shop that Target and I don't consider myself a lowlife. I own a home and pay taxes here in Greenfield. Your reference to lowlifes is ignorant.

"I own a home and pay taxes here in Greenfield."

So do I.
