Woman Allegedly Caught Stealing From Kohl's With Crack in Her Purse

Suspect was trying to steal three bottles of perfume when she was apprehended.

A 37-year-old Greenfield woman is facing charges after she allegedly was caught shoplifting at Southridge Mall with crack cocaine in her purse.

Roechelle M. Kroll was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of retail theft, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of cocaine. If convicted, she faces up to nearly two years in prison and $8,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 3:02 p.m. Sunday, staff at Kohl’s Department Store in Southridge spotted Kroll trying to take three bottles of perfume out of their cases and conceal them in a shopping bag. The value of the perfume is about $169.

Staff apprehended her and Greendale police were called. While searching Kroll, officers found a pipe with Chore Boy inside and two pieces of crack. Kroll told the officers she purchased the drugs earlier in the day for $50.

She’s currently free on $800 bond while awaiting trial.
