Walker celebrates after defeating the liberal unionista blue fisters
robert heule June 8, 2013 at 06:16 am
Steve, go down to the "village square" burn a blue fist. Or, maybe in front of WAL-MART.
Steve ® June 8, 2013 at 03:00 pm
As a producer I have better things to do. Drum circles are the blue fisters circle jerk.
robert heule June 9, 2013 at 08:16 pm
Steve, Like an Okie from Muskogee, I still wave 'Ol Bluefist down by the Courthouse.

So once again, I ask how is this saving taxpayers $ & or making jobs? ..........,..,,.......Read More Once again, it is a self-described lobbying group. There is an inherent conflict of interest.
Greg May 26, 2013 at 09:26 pm
Forced on voters? I would guess that SWS does not understand the concept of a representativeRead More democracy. The United Council can still exist, it just needs to get the $800,000 funding like any other group through voluntary donations, not this check off BS method. The United Council claims a much different purpose than its actions demonstrate. This type of funding should never go to an organization that is as radical as this group is.
Lyle Ruble May 27, 2013 at 01:56 pm
@Jay Sykes....One of the things I appreciate about you is your ability to clarify and simplify,Read More often times down to numbers. But, there is a short side to your approach and that it removes the human element out of the equation. You obviously support a philosophy of structuralism and utilitarianism, which is limited in application and may come up morally deficient. There is no question that if the SS system had been left alone for the full four years as intended that the principle would have grown to be sufficient to handle forgoing needs. Bur out of political expediency they started paying out benefits after only two years and placed it in jeopardy for long term survival. Social Security would be best served if it were converted to a universal retirement system with revenue support equal to the outgoing needs. The problems with medicare and to some extent medicaid is that it stopped short of a universal health care system. Often we find ourselves in a worse position because we stop programming before experiencing the full benefit. Under an NHS, which has been proven in every other developed nation, services can be provided to the entire population at reasonable costs and excellent service levels. However, this has not been done because too much wealth and power is tied up in the current system. So we keep applying band aids that neither completely satisfies and in the long run weakens the program. The same can be said for SS.
Jay Sykes May 27, 2013 at 04:13 pm
@Lyle... I am unsure why you conclude auditing social programs to ensure they work as designedRead More removes the human element and may come up morally deficient. I believe that those that can must provide for those that can not. We may not be able to know the names of those that become 'disabled' before they become part of that group. However, the laws of big numbers and statistics can tell us what percentage of us will fall into that category and what resources are required of us. Neither you nor I designed or implement SS or any other social program. No doubt 'we' would have designed many programs differently than they are now. Every major social program has a myriad of bureaucrats toiling away to determine the 'appropriate' level of payable benefits. Somehow they conclude what to payout for things like SS disability,Survivors benefits and FoodShare. Do their calculators have a Humanist function button? I know of no way of consistently measuring if our social programs are sufficiently humanist. I do know how to measure if those in-charge are actually smart or just full of BS; its called Results. Results:Tell me what you are going to do; do what you said you would do; show me you did what you said you would do. I have confidence in those that produce results and none in those that do not.

"Obamagate" exists only in the little minds of the Right Wing! As Republicans PushRead More Impeaching Obama, Consumer Confidence Surges to Five Year High http://www.politicususa.com/republicans-impeach-obama-consumer-confidence-surges-year-high.html ...Bad news for Republicans. In spite of their heroic efforts to destroy the economy under Obama, American consumer confidence has surged to the highest level since February of 2008. This news comes as Republicans are pushing to impeach Obama. The AP reported Tuesday that “consumer confidence jumped in May to a reading of 76.2, up from 69 in April. That’s the highest level since February 2008, two months after the Great Recession officially began,” according to a report from the Conference Board, a private research group. The hits keep coming for Republicans — home prices are surging, job growth is strengthening and stocks are soaring to record highs. “Americans are more hopeful about the economy than at any other point in five years.” How can this be when Republicans refuse to even begin the budget reconciliation process, refused to pass one single jobs bills, and are once again endangering global financial confidence with threats of refusing to raise the debt ceiling, aka, refusing to make good on bills they already ran up? It’s as if the economy has it out for Republicans, as Americans abandon their petty efforts to obstruct a rebound...

Tax money also goes to corporations that lobby for special tax breaks, to the defense department inRead More shockingly unaccounted for amounts, on a state level to Walker's privatized WEDC--my point is that righties seem to get very upset about food stamp irregularities, but tolerate or ignore these much larger misuses of tax dollars. why is that?

Ezra parades his propaganda across the variousRead More Washington Post editions and MSNBC shows, celebrated as a creative journalist instead of the Progressive fascist he is. @Skinny Dude....I would like to remind you that Doyle inherited a $6.6 billion deficit from McCallumRead More and Thompson. By his second term he was having to deal with significant revenue shortfalls. He didn't directly raise taxes and placed state workers on a two year furlow program. I am not a fan of Diamond Jim; but, He wasn't the nincompoop that the right paints him to be. Just as Scott Walker is not the messiah for the State of Wisconsin, neither was Ronald Reagan the messiah to the nation. I can tell how limited your reading and research has been. Just remember, if he hadn't been in the grips of dementia, he would have most likely been impeached and removed from office for the Iran Contra fiasco. You can worship at the Reagan alter if you wish, but the truth is out there that proves your worship is misplaced.

@ Lyle I don't worship any man . Reagan came clean on a matter and there was open hearings. I knowRead More the entire story. With Obama he can even explain why he was AWOL while an actual terror attack was occuring . The information isn't classified , it is merely embarrassing as he was busy creating a cover story while Americans were waiting for help and fighting for their Lives. Is it any wonder most service man respect his authority but not him as a man . If you think they do respect him on a personal level your merely clueless and disconnected. Get out of the liberal fish bowl . Walker was an easy choice as governor. How many times does he have to win to show you the majority has rejected the liberal failings of the Doyle years and the clueless campaigns of the Barrett years. Walker is governor and will win again .
