Intrigued by silk painting? Or maybe you have some experience creating hand-painted silk scarves and would like to take them to the “next level”? All skill levels are welcome in this class where we will utilize many processes to design and create three hand-painted silk scarves that are ready to wear. Each participant will construct one reusable printing block and utilize it to apply resist solution and printing ink to silk scarves, while also using dyes and other resist methods like tie-dyeing and salt application. Learn how to build up layers of color, add more intricate details to your designs and create rich surfaces with these “hands-on” techniques. Supplies included.
