The Whitnall School District serves parts of the cities of Greenfield, Hales Corners and Franklin. The district includes five schools: Whitnall High School and Whitnall Middle School (both located in Greenfield) and Edgerton Elementary, Hales Corners Elementary and 4K charter school CORE 4, (all located in Hales Corners).

The district prides itself on its strong academic focus and emphasis on working with all students to achieve individual success. Serving about 2,500 students annually, the district performs well above the location, state and national averages on standardized tests.
