Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center is OPEN!

Incorporated in 2005, the mission of the is to place homeless animals into loving, permanent homes as well as to provide community outreach programs in order to secure a better future for all companion animals. 

For six years, the Center rented space in neighboring Greendale before purchasing the property located at 5217 South 51st Street (corner of Loomis Road & 51st Street) in late 2011.

The Center recently opened and is excited to be a part of the Greenfield community!

Currently, the Center is open Tuesdays & Thursdays 3pm-7pm and Saturdays noon-3. (Open hours will be expanding soon.) Adoption-ready cats are housed at the Center and available for adoption during open hours or by appointment. Dogs are housed in foster care and are only available for viewing by appointment. Eventually, the Center intends to renovate the outbuilding in order to feature dogs for adoption during all open hours. The outbuilding will also provide community outreach programs such as humane education for youth and adults, dog training classes, volunteer orientation, as well as special events & fundraisers.

We intend to post about animals for adoption, volunteer opportunities, wish list items, special events, etc. However, if there is anything you'd like us to highlight, please let us know!
