Greenfield Resident Receives Prestigious Zoological Society Award
(Zoological Society of Milwaukee, March 2014)— Pascual Rodriguez (left), of Greenfield, who is principal of Bruce Guadalupe Community School, displays an award presented to Marcelo Ocampo, Jr., and Rockwell Automation by the Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM). The framed African lion footprint (called the Panthera leo Award after the Latin name of the lion) recognizes Rockwell Automation’s 15-year commitment to the ZSM’s Animal Ambassador education program. With Rockwell’s support, the Bruce Guadalupe Community School has participated in this ZSM education program that enables students from economically disadvantaged communities in the Milwaukee area to learn more about wildlife and conservation. Rockwell Automation also supports the ZSM as a member of the Society’s Platypus Circle donor group. The award was presented March 13 at the Milwaukee County Zoo during the ZSM’s 2014 Serengeti Circle luncheon, which thanked ZSM grantors and sponsors who support the Society and the Zoo at the $2,500 and up giving level. Ocampo, who lives in Milwaukee and is a product selection analyst in commercial marketing for Rockwell, accepted the award as the company’s representative to Bruce Guadalupe school.
