Day 1 of the 6-day 110th Anniversary celebration went great. There were many sights and sounds to be seen and heard. From Gov. Scott Walker leading the military appreciation ride, to the Woods National Cemetery visit, to country music star Casey James; the House of Harley-Davidson had it all.
Governor Scott Walker made a special appearance and 5-star General John Borling lead a ceremony honoring the men and women of our nation’s military. After the ceremony, riders prepared to follow Gov. Scott Walker to Woods National Cemetery at the VA grounds in Milwaukee. Hundreds of riders had the chance to pay their respects to those who served our great country.
Proceeds from the Military Appreciation Day ride benefited the Fisher House of Wisconsin. This organization helps to create a home away from home for military and veterans’ families, allowing them to be close to a loved one during hospitalization at the VA Medical.
