Funeral for Lester Bentson

Elim is awash with a mix of emotions as we recognize how much we will miss our Elder Br. Lester Bentson, as we celebrate that he will be suffering no more, resting in the arms of our loving God.

Br. Bentson remained even in his 89th year of living a strong leader in Elim's worship, often the first on his feet, and even in the lifting of his feeble arms, his hands would reach for heaven before most any other in the church.

He would read his Bible cover to cover many times every year, and pray, oh, how Br. Bentson loved to pray: “Thank you, Jesus, for great examples of dedicated prayer.”

He was a great man exampling unsurpassed joy within the principled parameters of modest living – faithful in support and attendance to his natural and spiritual family.

Please consider yourself invited and help us, as a part of your family, celebrate the life and example of a tremendous Child of our Great God.
