Greenfield Libary Needs Donations for Book Sale

The Greenfield Library is looking to replenish its stock of gently used books, movies and music for its never-ending book sale, an ongoing sale of used materials.

You can donate your items at the checkout desk. All proceeds from the sale benefit the library.

The library will not accept books published prior to 2003, textbooks, VHS tapes, cassette tapes or magazines.

In other library news, the new history book club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the community room to discuss Over the Edge of the World: Magellan’s Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe, by Laurence Bergreen.

This book vividly recounts the high seas adventures of Magellan and his crew, taken to the brink of collapse in a deathly three-year expedition as they tried to circumnavigate the globe. Reserve your copy online at http://countycat.mcfls.org/ or by calling the library.

The library will also host the Paranormal Investigators of Milwaukee at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the community room.

The paranormal investigators will discuss how they conduct investigations, the tools they use, and will share their experiences with the paranormal.

This is a free program and registration is not required. 

Paranormal Investigators will be accepting non-perishable food donations for Feeding America (donation not required for entry).
