Greenfield Library's Battle of the Bands is Back

Fundraiser originally scheduled for February will now take place June 3.

Four months later than expected, the Greenfield Library Battle of the Bands is making a return for the third year in a row.

The fundraising event, a showcase for local teen bands, will be from 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Greenfield Library.

Application, permission slip and audition materials must be turned in to the library no later than 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 16.

Tickets to the event will go on sale Monday, May 23, and will cost $5 for students and $10 for adults.

Battle of the Bands is presented by the Greenfield Library Teen Advisory board.  All proceeds from this event will go toward youth materials and programming in the library.

The event was but was postponed due to insufficient band interest.

Bands interested in performing can find application materials online at www.greenfieldlibrary.org under the “Teen Events” link. For more information, call 414-321-9595 Ext. 245.

Also at the library...

Artwork presented by the West Allis Art Alliance will be on display throughout May at the Greenfield Public Library.

The exhibit consists of 36 original art pieces and includes oils, pastels, watercolors, and photographs.  Artwork can be found in the second floor mezzanine area.
