Parks & Rec Department Offering Exercise Workshops

Department is teaming up with a national exercise organization for the workshops.

The Greenfield Parks & Recreation and the National Exercise Trainers Association, a non-profit professional association, are co-sponsoring the following nationally recognized workshops:

  • Group Exercise Certification: Potential and current fitness instructors will learn basic academic and practical application of teaching group exercise.  No college, science or teaching background is required.  Workshop registration includes a full-day review, written exam, two-year certification and membership. The workshop is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30.
  • Fusion Strength: Bring a deeper awareness to the body, mind, breath and spirit. with Fusion Strength, which blends the focus of yoga, the precision of Pilates, and the muscular engagement of strength training with free weights. The added component of resistance challenges should take your workout to a new level. The workshop is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 1.
