Ridge Community Church to Open on Easter Sunday

Construction began on the church in the former Walmart building on Highway 100 and Layton Avenue in Greenfield in January.

The Ridge Community Church, which has purchased the former Walmart building on Highway 100 and Layton Avenue, is less than two weeks away from holding its first service.

Pastor Mark Weigt said the new, massive church is on track to open Easter Sunday, with a service at 10:30 a.m.

As many as 30 construction workers have been busy renovating the inside of the former Walmart, converting the big-box retail story into a spacious and inviting place of worship.
