Snow Makes for Another Messy Morning

Three inches of snow creates headaches for morning commuters.

The three inches of snow that fell last night and early this morning made the morning commute a slow and slippery one in Greenfield.

The city, along with the rest of the metropolitan area, was under a winter weather advisory that ended at 6 a.m. Tuesday. The front that came through left the light, dust-like snow.

In Greenfield, police and rescue dealt with numerous spins outs and minor crashes.

According to Greenfield Police Deputy Inspector Brad Wentlandt, there were six accidents, one minor injury and seven spin outs as a result of the snow.

Crews were seen clearing snow through Greenfield streets early this morning.

The weather forecast calls for a chance of flurries this morning with mostly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service. The high today will be 27 with an east wind of 5 to 10 mph. Tonight's high will be 17.
