The Ridge Community Church Gathering Health Kits for Oklahoma Victims

The Ridge Community Church is reaching out to those affected by the tornado in Moore, OK and gathering health kit donations on Sunday, May 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at their facility, 4500 S. 108th St., in Greenfield.

The Ridge is partnering with One Family One Purpose, an organization that provides disaster relief and home building following natural disasters and Samaritan's Purse to distribute the kits directly to people in Moore. 

Those interested in donating kits should bring complete kits consistent to what is listed below. If they are packed according to these specifications, kits will get to those in need immediately because no additional work is needed.  

Kits should include:

Clean-Up Kit — a five-gallon size bucket (with lid) filled with:

• sponges
• wire brush
• plastic trash bags
• scrub brush
• rubber gloves
• 32 oz. Lysol-type disinfectant
• work gloves

Female Health Kit — a gallon-sized zip bag filled with:

• hand towel and washcloth
• comb
• toothbrush/toothpaste (4-7oz)
• new bath-size bar soap
• Band-Aids (6)
• deodorant
• travel-size shampoo and conditioner
• feminine sanitary napkins (6 pads)

Male Health Kit — gallon-sized zip bag filled with:

• hand towel and washcloth
• comb
• toothbrush/toothpaste (4-7oz)
• new bath-size bar soap
• band-aids (6)
• deodorant
• travel-size shampoo and conditioner

Those impacted by the tornado also need cases of bottled water.
