The Whitnall School District's Back to School Block Party is back!
The event will feature musical entertainment, food vendors, games, rides and inflatables as well as various community organizations and business showcases and displays outdoors on 116th Street between and .
Included in the musical lineup is the newly formed band, Mr. Romero's Neighborhood, comprised of Whitnall middle and high school students. The band, led by lead singers Jesse Romero, a 10th-grader, and Helen Baker, an eighth-grader, has been rehearsing all summer and will perform a variety of pop songs.

The band's other members are Sean Sison (ninth grade, bass player), Chandler Carroll (10th grade, guitarist), Samantha Dorlack (eighth grade, keyboard player) and AJ Sidhu (10th grade, drummer).
All students are from the Whitnall School District, with the exception of Chandler Carroll, who attends West Allis Central.
