Magazine lovers can now get free access to more than 100 popular titles on their mobile devices courtesy of the Greenfield Public Library, 5310 W. Layton Ave.
Through Zinio Digital Magazines for Libraries, an online service that allows you to download digital copies of popular magazines to a computer, tablet, or mobile device, magazines such as Newsweek, US Weekly, and The Economist are available at no charge to patrons and can be viewed on free apps for Apple products, Android, Kindle Fire and others.
Once downloaded, the magazine issues have no due dates, never incurs fines, and can be kept on mobile devices as long as the reader wishes, and anyone can download as many issues as they like without getting placed on a waiting list.
Issues can even be read later offline when a readers is out of Wi-Fi range, and patrons can download as many issues as they want with no limit to the number of titles within the library collection.
All you need to get started is a library card, an email address, and access to a computer or digital device.
