Another Gym Set to Take Over Cardinal Fitness Building

Another fitness center will give the corner of 84th Street and Layton Avenue a try.

About seven months after Xperience Fitness abruptly closed its Greenfield location, New Berlin-based Nova Gyms Fitness Center is getting set to move in.

Nova Gyms is based in New Berlin with one location in that city and another in Oak Creek on 27th Street. Temporary signs adorn the building, which had been Cardinal Fitness before Xperience took over in June 2012, but no opening date has been announced.

Earlier this summer, a convenience and liquor store owner showed interest in the location, but the proposal got little support from city officials.
