Greenfield Patch Editor Leading Social-Networking Seminar

The multi-session seminar is hosted by Clement Manor's Center for Enrichment and begins next week.

Social-networking services: What are they? Who is using them? Why are these sites so popular?

I will provide my insights on the social media phenomenon that has taken the world by storm during three hour-long informational sessions on Facebook and Twitter with topics ranging from why people are using them, how people are using them and who is using them. During the sessions, held at Clement Manor's , I will also talk about how social media has changed the way people communicate, do business and collect and share news.
Β
In addition, I will also discuss Greenfield.Patch.com and how it can be used by Greenfield businesses and residents, and discuss how social media has changed the "newspaper" industry.
Β
Finally, I will lead three separate hands-on sessions for those interested in setting up Facebook pages and learning how to use the social media tool.
Β
The "learning" sessions are Tuesdays, Sept. 13, 20, 27, from 11-11:50 a.m. The cost for CFE members is $15 and $20 for non-members.
