The popular Greenfield restaurant will close for good Sunday, July 22, 2012.

For the , Greenfield will be losing a landmark restaurant.

After 15 years of serving up hot wings to sports enthusiasts, waitresses at will be putting away their short shorts and tight tanktops for good as the popular sports bar and grill closes Sunday.

Greenfield Patch reported last month this summer, and on Friday, an employee confirmed this weekend was Hooters' last.

While Hooter's has an ideal business location, I don't think Hooter's actual business lived up to the projected type nor amount of business they anticipated for this ideal location. In addition, since Hooter's highlighted the Hooter Girls vs Food, the amount of Gentleman's Cubs in the area could have put a damper on business. While this business was a plus for Greenfield as far as taxes go, I for one won't miss Hooter's. I like my waiter/waitress fully clothed. Hooter's has had their share of lawsuits for one thing or another. However, this most recent lawsuit could share some probability as to why Hooter's is closing:

Ther food was not that good and prices were extremely high. I am surprised they lasted this long.

Steve, go down to the "village square" burn a blue fist. Or, maybe in front of WAL-MART.
