Major Roads Just Outside of Greenfield Reopen to Traffic

Construction will continue, however, on Edgerton Avenue and Ramsey Avenue.

As part of the I-94 North-South Freeway Project, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is continuing construction at Edgerton Avenue and Ramsey Avenue.

Beginning today Sept. 1, however, Edgerton Avenue and Ramsey Avenue from 20th Street to 13th Street are scheduled to reopen to vehicles. These streets were reopened to pedestrians in May 2011.

Although the roads will be opened, continuing roadwork will occur in the area, and motorists should be aware of changing traffic patterns and construction workers in the area.

Residents living near the construction site are also reminded to keep off of the construction site for safety purposes, and be watchful of pets and small children. This work will create construction noise, dust and some vibrations. Residents may also observe an increase in construction vehicles in the area.
