Near-Record Energy Use Reported, But No Outages

We Energies has not reported any major outages in Greenfield or surrounding areas.

Air conditioning units across Greenfield have been cranking non-stop for days now, helping We Energies reach near-record electricity demands.

But thankfully the massive amounts of energy consumption has not led to any major power outages, according to the electric company's online outage map.

As of Monday morning, there were no outages in Greenfield, including minor ones.

According to a story by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, We Energies did not break an all-time demand record Wednesday, though it came close.

Power use a little west of here did reach all-time highs, however, according to wisbusiness.com, which reported that Madison Gas and Electric set all-time records Tuesday and Wednesday.
