Construction crews have been busy at the former Value City Furniture, 4771 S. 27th St., converting it to an Ashley Furniture store.
The store is expected to open this summer. The chain has 14 stores across the state; that number will remain steady as the Franklin store moves a few miles north on 27th Street.
The new store is located next to Target.
