What Do You Want to See in Former Cardinal Fitness Building?

Xperience Fitness vacated the building in February after converting to Cardinal Fitness gym over the summer. What should go in there now?

The former Cardinal Fitness and Xperience Fitness building at the busy intersection of 84th Street and Layton Avenue has been vacant for more than a month.

What would you like to see open in that location? Tell us in the comments below.

As long as it's NOT a payday loan store, gold into cash store, a pawn shop, or a thrift shop.

How about something that can actually PAY the taxes?

Dunkin Donuts. If the fitness center couldn't make a go of it, I'll bet the sweets crowd would make it profitable. I like the DD coffee.

I agree with Citizen and JustMe. Why wasn't this asked when the old Wal-Mart was planning on vacating? In my opinion, let's get some REAL planning here instead of selling to whatever the representing real estate company can find. (Does this sound familiar?) When are some of you in City Hall going to wake up?

Isn't the new Wal-Mart worth more than the driving range? I thought the old Wal-Mart pays property taxes on 1/2 the building. I also thought that the old Wal-Mart was subject to Wal-Marts terms of use so that a Target or anything that competes with them wouldn't go there. Isn't it all combined worth a lot more property tax base than the way it was? I agree that a pawn shop isn't the right thing at Cardinal Fitness, but if any business can go in there and make a go of it, who are we to say unless we're paying for it? I think a Donkin' Donuts would be cool there, but does Dunkin Donuts think that they would be cool there? Maybe Concerned, Citizen, or JustMe should buy Cardinal Fitness and put a Nordtroms or Ikea there.

Maybe GreenfieldParent shouldn't make dumb comments.

Were they really dumb JustMe?

Steve, go down to the "village square" burn a blue fist. Or, maybe in front of WAL-MART.

As a producer I have better things to do. Drum circles are the blue fisters circle jerk.
