Hurricane Sandy Hits Home
How Hurricane Sandy affects the Greenfield and Whitnall community.
Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast pretty hard last week. It destroyed much of the East Coast, killing around 80 people. It also caused a wildfire in New York and loss of power to millions of people all over the East Coast.
"I feel bad for the people who had to go through it," said Janna Walla, a senior at Whitnall High School. "Its really not fair."
But the impact is being felt here as well. Not only is it affecting Wisconsin's weather by bringing in a cold front that makes the air much colder and the weather more "out-of-whack", it also affects the community's families as well.

"The last time I heard from my brother [in Mt. Kisko, New York], he still didn't have power," said Stafford Kramer, the Alternative Education teacher at Whitnall High School. "And my brother-in-law still can't go home [to Manhattan]."
