The Greenfield Listening Debates Alliance will host a forum on health care reform and Medicare at the Greenfield Public Library on Oct. 1.
Among the panelists will be State Representative Jeff Stone.
The forum, which runs from 7-8:15 p.m., is the first of three in a series called "A Civil Discourse." Participants will be encouraged to express their views on key issues.

Each forum will feature a moderator, several expert panel members representing a breadth of views, and a lively but civil public debate. The forums will be governed by several “listening and debating” rules designed to move beyond the heat to find common ground. People with all points of view are welcome.
The second forum in the series, on jobs and the economy, will be Oct. 22, and the third, on religious and culturally diversity and tolerance, will be Nov. 19.
