Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center Pet of the Week: Marissa

Marissa is looking for a family!

Marissa is a petite dilute tortoiseshell lady looking to join a nice, quiet home. This sweet girl will be a great addition to a family looking for a gentle, unassuming companion. She loves to play! String toys are her absolute favorite, and she like to sneakily position herself behind a box or other barrier as her humans taunt her with a cat wand. It really gets her going! At eight years old, she may be considered a senior, but she sure is young at heart.

Did you know there is an entire population of perfectly adoptable animals that is considered "less adoptable" than others? This group includes FIV positive kitties, black dogs and cats, pitbull type dogs, special needs animals, and seniors like Marissa. Well, we at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center find that the kids who often get labeled as less adoptable are some of the most special animals we meet. Don't let age get in the way! Marissa is a kind and gentle soul with a lot of love - and a lot of years - to give!

For more information about Marissa and the other adoptable animals at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, visit the website at milwaukeearc.org and click on the adopt link. If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, stop in the Center during open hours or return your completed adoption application to the Center to schedule an appointment.
