Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center Pet of the Week: Clementine

This little girl is just like her name - tiny and sweet!

Clementine is a really special puppy. This three-month-old pitbull terrier mix immediately bonded to the dogs, cats, and humans in her foster home. She loves to run and wrestle with the other dogs almost as much as she loves to curl up and rest her head on their butts (the perfect place for a nap, she says). The other day, she was spotted snuggling pretty tough with her foster dad, snoring in his ear while he took an afternoon snooze with her.

While in the same foster care home, Clementine made friends with Matthew, an adoptable one-eyed kitten. They would romp and wrestle, Clementine showing her true gentle nature while Matthew, at just barely three pounds, showed her who's boss. Talk about an adorable friendship.

It only took one second for all of us to fall seriously hard for this girl. We’re confident her new family will feel exactly the same way.

For more information about Clementine and the other animals at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, visit the website at milwaukeearc.org and click on 'adopt' to download the adoption application. If you are interested in meeting this lovely girl, return your application to the Center during open hours or by fax, 414-421-8801, to set up a meeting with the foster parent. All adoptable dogs are housed in volunteer foster homes and available for meetings by appointment only. Most adoptable cats are housed at the Center and available to meet during open hours.

Those interested in potential adoption should plan to arrive at the Center at least 30 minutes prior to close so the adoption counselor has adequate time to devote to the visit.

The generosity of our foster families allow us to save precious lives like Reagan's and give second chances to animals who need it. Fostering homeless animals is a big but lifesaving commitment, and our foster parents often tell us they feel like the lucky ones when they share their hearts and homes with these kids.

UPDATE: Murphy and Lily, two long-term residents, chose a family last week. Yes, they were adopted together!! ToeFu also chose a family. Great news!
