During this four week introductory class you will complete 2 small (9"x12") paintings while learning about basic materials and techniques of oil painting: grisaille, the technique of the old masters and alla prima of the new masters.
Learn basic oil painting techniques and apply them to your own future projects. Use fine art tools, including brushes and paints. Hold a brush properly and use it to create specific brushstrokes, such as glazing. Select colors to create depth, perspective, and interest in your paintings, while creating form in a simple still life.
