Milwaukee Art Museum Play Date with Art

As the Wisconsin weather is keeping kids cooped up inside, local families are looking for fun and affordable activities that the entire family can enjoy!  The Milwaukee Art Museum welcomes children and parents to Play Date with Art: Marvelous Mobiles – a unique, engaging way for the youngest of Museum visitors to have hands on experience with art!

On Friday, February 15 from 10am – 12 pm, children 5 and under will learn about the Museum’s Calder mobile and have the opportunity to create their very own hanging piece of artwork.  The young artists will work on fine motor skills, using string to suspend fun shapes, colorful feathers and other objects from a spoon and will take a break to join in Signing Time at 10:30am.

Play Date with Art: Marvelous Mobiles will take place at the Milwaukee Art Museum and is free with Museum admission.

While at the museum, kids and families are invited to stop into the Kohl’s Education Center—a fun, interactive space designed to give kids an appreciation for art through participation in exciting, creative and hands-on projects. Part of the Kohl's Art Generation program, this space is made possible through $4.3 million from Kohl's Cares and Kohl's Department Stores to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
