Beautification Committee Completes City Hall Flower Plantings

The annual event adds color and design to the City Hall grounds.

Each year a hardy group of Greenfield volunteers puts on their ‘gardening finest’ and plant hundreds of flowers and grasses over the grounds of the .

Last weekend, the planters again completed the plantings and dressed up the City Hall landscape. Plants included tall grasses, millet, begonias, alyssum and other annuals.

Thanks to all who helped plant, especially Nancy who arranged the event and ordered the seedlings. If you’re in the area (Forest Home and Cold Spring Rd.) stop by and take a look!

Next up is the annual Greenfield Landscape Award Contest. Committee judges will fan out over the city to select the 10 best-landscaped yards as well as the best business landscapes. Judging starts June 24 so get your yard in tip-top shape for us to judge; you could be a winner!
