Greenfield Farmers Market Receives Funds for Path Construction
The Greenfield Farmers Market received a $30,000 donation from Dan Jansen Family Festival, Inc., that will create a path to benefit both Jansen Fest and the soon-to-open Greenfield Farmers Market.
The Greenfield Farmers Market Planning Committee has received a generous donation from Dan Jansen Family Festival, Inc., to improve Konkel Park that will create a path to benefit both Jansen Fest and the soon-to-open Greenfield Farmers Market.
Konkel Park is location at 5151 West Layton Avenue in Greenfield. Path construction will begin immediately following Jansen Fest and, weather and construction permitting, should be open for the Market’s opening day, June 23.
A check presentation was held at Konkel Park on Tuesday, May 7, at 5:30pm. Representatives from the Jansen Fest Board of Directors, the City’s Farmers Market Planning Committee, and aldermanic representatives were on hand for the presentation.

The 19th Annual Dan Jansen Family Fun Fest will occur Memorial Day weekend, May 24-26, 2013, at Konkel Park. Please see www.jansenfest.org for additional details.
The Greenfield Farmers Market will open on Sunday, June 23, from 10 am to 2 p.m. The Market will operate every Sunday through Oct. 27, and will have a variety of products including fresh produce, salsas and sauces, natural soaps, dressings, bakery and baked goods, and more.
