Stan's Fit For Your Feet Takes a Stand - They will Be Closed for Thanksgiving

GREENFIELD, Wis -- As a local family-owned business, Stan’s Fit For Your Feet is taking a stand and announcing that they will NOT be joining Kohl’s Department Stores, Macy’s, JC Penney and other big box retailers by opening their doors on Thanksgiving.

“Our family-owned business feels strongly that Thanksgiving is a special day to give thanks for all that we have and to celebrate it with our families and friends,” said Jim Sajdak, owner of Stan’s Fit for Your Feet.

“There are many small business owners out there who feel as strongly as we do. There are so few days left anymore where we can simply enjoy our families and friends. We want to be able to do this and give all of our employees the same opportunity to do this on Thanksgiving while providing our customers with the exceptional service they’ve come to expect from Stan’s on Black Friday. We’re taking a stand here because we know that my dad who founded this store in 1950 would be proud of us for putting our family and our employees families first while still ensuring our commitment to our customers.”

“There’s plenty of time to enjoy the shopping tradition of Black Friday actually on Black Friday, and all three of our stores as well as our New Balance Stores will be open as of 9:30 a.m. on Black Friday for anyone looking for a great pair of shoes. We’ll also be doing our Black Friday Balloon Bonanza Event to thank our customers for their loyalty and for buying local from Friday, November 29 – Sunday, December 1. It will give customers the chance to win dollars off purchases, products and more. You don’t have to shop on Thanksgiving or at midnight to find all of the great deals, at Stan’s, we’ll have them all weekend!”
